Constructuion

Hidraulica U.M. Plopeni's gear motors are essentially identical in design with the gear pumps and they mainly consist of a pair of gear (1) and (2) turning in a housing (3) and supported by the bearings (4). The end cover (5), the flange (6) and the housing are assembled together by means of screws (7) . The thrust pressure seals (8) and the shaft seal (9) provide the unit safe sealing.

Mounting and drive

In order to determine the rotational direction, the motor should be watched from the shaft end. The direction is marked with an arrow on the pump label. The driving conditions (type of couplings, allowed efforts) are identical with those of the pumps.

Hydraulic fluid

It is recomended to use mineral high pressure oils, for example SR 9691:94.

The kinematic viscosity in working conditions must range between 12 to 700 mm2/s - preferably between 20 to 100 mm2/s. 2000 mm2/s is allowed for starting conditions. The hydraulic circuit will be compulsorily provided with a max 25 µm filter.
