Hydraulic fluid

It is recomended to use mineral high pressure oils, for example SR 9691:94. The kinematic viscosity in working conditions must range between 12 to 700 mm2/s - preferably between 20 to 100 mm2/s. 2000 mm2/s is allowed for starting conditions.

Pipes

The pipes will be as short as possible without section variations or bends mainly at inlet. For standard length and regular application pipes the operating section can be approximately determined depending on the hydraulic oil speed:

• 1 to 2 m/s for inlet
• 2 to 10 m/s for outlet
• 2 to 4 m/s for return tube

The absolute pressure for the inlet tube should not fall under 0.7 bar.

Filtration

Initial cleaning of the circuit is compulsory and oil impurity will be limited by an efficient and well maintained filtration system. Otherwise pump life will be significantly reduced.

A wire mesh filter will be provided on the inlet pipe with the mesh size of 0.1mm. The filter size depends on the inlet conditions.

The filter size in the return tube to the tank will be max. 25 µm.
